Seth A. Harvatine, Superintendent of Schools

Mr. Seth Harvatine has been the Superintendent since July 1, 2018. He has been a valued member of the Sheboygan Area School District for over 20 years, working as an Instructional Technology Trainer/Curriculum Specialist, Principal at Cleveland Elementary School and Longfellow Elementary School, before working in the Central Administration Building as a Director of Instructional Services and then Assistant Superintendent of Student and Instructional Services. Prior to working in the Sheboygan Area School District, Mr. Harvatine was a classroom teacher in Manitowoc Public Schools.

At the Committee of the Whole meeting on September 12, the Board of Education ratified the collective bargaining agreement and base wage settlement with the Sheboygan Education Association (SEA) and approved a one-time stipend for all employee groups.

Elementary Schools Pilot Great Start Conferences to Improve School and Family Connection

This fall, three elementary schools piloted a new way to start the school year. Teachers at James Madison, Sheridan, and Cleveland Elementary Schools used the traditional first day of school to hold individual meetings with each student and their family.
