Welcome to music at Farnsworth! Our 6th, 7th, and 8th grade bands do a variety of music, concerts, and events throughout the year. Orchestra is also available for all grades and rehearses regularly during the school day. Alongside rehearsals (class), there is a second tier of small group instruction (lessons) that happens bi-weekly. Students learn not only how to perform their instruments, but about the background/purpose of the music itself. We also offer choir for each grade. Choirs do a variety of music and concerts, but only meet for one semester. In addition, co-curriculars such as Jazz Band are available weekly after school.
