Gender Sexuality Alliance

Sheboygan North High Gay-Straight Alliance is a student-led organized school club that aims to create a safe, welcoming and accepting school environment for all youth.

Regardless of one's sexual orientation or gender identity/expression. We want to help the people of our school and community become more comfortable with their identities and expression, and to make North High School a safe place for everyone. This group allows LGBTQ+ and straight students to cooperatively address issues that affect all students, including harassment, discrimination, and bias based on sexual orientation, gender identity, and gender expression. We aim to promote awareness and educate people about the issues that the LGBTQ+ community face. We aim to create an environment of friends and supporters where anyone can express themselves without judgment. We strive to help anyone who feels they have a personal connection to the LGBTQ+ community and anyone who feels unsafe or uncomfortable being who they are at home or anywhere else in their life. We want to build productive connections between members, between our club, and the between the community at large.

Meetings are held every week on Tuesday after school, and we always have Thursday Raider Times. Every and any student is welcome to attend when they please. The activities we do include: group movies, group discussion, and numerous community outreach projects decided by the board members.
