Courtney Anne Holcomb is a passionate educator and life-long learner always looking to expand her knowledge and spark her curiosity. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Spanish and Dance, with a minor in nutrition. She is also a nationally certified Pilates teacher, professional dancer, and movement educator. After over a decade of entrepreneurship and business ownership, she has recently entered full time into public education. She is currently completing her general teaching license and ESL licensure.
Courtney is committed to creating quality learning environments for all students. Her passion for nature, genuine connection, and various modes of creative expression enrich her teaching style and support her in fostering meaningful connections with her students. Her extensive volunteering and travel across Thailand, Mexico, Spain, and greater Europe has given her a robust capacity to bring cultural sensitivity to how she relates to others. Bringing with her a unique blend of experiences, entrepreneurial mindset, and commitment to student success, she creates engaging experiences for her students. Her background in creative arts make her exceptional at collaborative efforts and help her identify alternative needs for varying learners. She comes with experience teaching ages 2 through 90+ and people of various cultures and backgrounds which help her exercise compassion, understanding, and curiosity. Her Myers Briggs is ENFJ, and her CliftonStrengths top five are: Achiever, Learner, Input, Empathy, Individualization.
When Courtney is not teaching, you can find her spending time with her husband Estin and their two cats: mountain biking, bike touring, hiking, cold plunging in Lake Michigan, writing, spending time outdoors, weaving, traveling, gardening, and sharing through various modes of creative expression. Really, doing anything that relates to moving, connecting, reflecting, and creating.
