Hello! My name is Katie Loest and I am honored to be part of the Sheboygan North High School Student Services Team! I began working at NHS in the 2021-2022 School Year.
I grew up near and graduated from Suring High School in Suring, Wisconsin. I earned my Bachelor's Degree (Major: Psychology, Minor: Child Care Services) at Northern Michigan University in Marquette, Michigan. Then, I completed my Master's Degree (Professional Counseling - School Counseling Emphasis) at UW Oshkosh.
I enjoy working with students of all ages and have been a school counselor for PreK through 12th grade students since entering the field in 2012. Prior to working at North I was a school counselor in Manitowoc, Green Lake, and Fond du Lac and also completed field experiences in Ripon, Berlin, North Fond du Lac, and Oshkosh.
In 2018, I moved from Ripon, Wisconsin to Sheboygan and live here with my husband (Tylor), children (Meryl, Quincy, and Myles), and our cat (Edward). In my freetime I enjoy crafting, cooking, experimenting with fancy nails and makeup, getting outdoors (especially near water) and, of course, hanging out with my friends and family.
