This is my fifteenth year with North High School, and I take pride in being a member of the NHS staff. This year I am teaching 3 hours of English 5/6 and 2 hours of English 1/2. Should you need to contact me, please use my email and before and after school office hours. I look forward to getting to know my students and parents throughout the year. I have always had a passion for literature and history and have loved sharing my experiences with others. After graduating from a small high school in the Upper Peninsula, I attended Northern Michigan University before finding a home here in southeast Wisconsin. I have a Bachelors Degree in Secondary Education for English and History and a Masters Degree in Writing from NMU, and have earned a post-graduate certification in Technology Education from Fresno Pacific University. My teaching philosophy is to encourage and inspire life-long learners and respectful conversations. I try to adapt and modify teaching strategies to meet the individual needs of all students and work towards helping each student reach their full potential. I continually look to gain new insights from fellow educators, parents, and students alike. If students act well and perform to the best of their abilities, they WILL succeed! |
