We are a public charter school that is tuition-free. We offer a unique educational experience, not already offered in the public sector in a surrounding area. We have an environment defined by three pillars: Direct Instruction, Core Knowledge, and Core Virtues.
Direct Instruction as a teaching method and group students in math, reading, and spelling by ability, not by grade.
Students are with their peers for all other classes and are engaged in Core Knowledge, a curriculum that is rich with facts.
Core Virtue program in classwork, behavior management, and the overall culture of the school. Students learn and apply values that are commonly believed to be important such as responsibility, respect, perseverance, kindness, generosity, and honesty. A different virtue is highlighted each month and is the focus at weekly all-school assemblies.
Lake Country Academy is in session every Monday - Friday
Pre-K hours are split into two classes: 8 am - 11 am and 12:15 pm - 3:15 pm.
Grades Kindergarten through 8th Grade is 8:00 am - 3:15 pm.
