Sheboygan Area School District provides yellow school bus transportation to students that live within eligible transportation boundaries within the district. For the safety of themselves and others, it is important that students observe the bus rules. Parents are encouraged to review safe bus conduct with students and to contact school officials about any problems with school bus transportation. Home/school cooperation is important in providing safe, efficient transportation for all students.
If you need to add busing, make a change or no longer need transportation, please contact your school secretary to start the process. If your child attends Early Learning Center, please contact your child’s teacher. For bus changes, please contact the Early Learning Center Office at 920-459-4330.

In partnership with the Sheboygan Area School District, Shoreline Metro offers a free ride program for students actively enrolled and attending a school within the district and the public transit system service area. The program began with the 2018-2019 school year. Students are able to use Shoreline Metro during all hours of service and any route for any purpose including school, work, social activities and appointments. Students simply show the driver the special bus pass when boarding to receive the free ride (middle school and high school students only). Faculty and staff are also permitted to use this program by showing proper ID when boarding the bus. Elementary students do not need a pass.
Both passes are good for service during all regular service days and hours on any Shoreline Metro route (except the seasonal Trolley route).

NOTE: Tripper service to private or non-SASD schools and destinations will not be available on days when SASD schools are not in session. Routes subject to change based on customer requests.
Students can be denied services under Shoreline Metro's Conduct Policy and Exclusion Policy. Shoreline Metro works with SASD to resolve students conduct issues, but if conduct becomes a concern for other passengers, suspending use of Shoreline Metro may be necessary. Based on this policy, there is no yellow bus transportation to Cooper, Grant, Jefferson, and Wilson Elementary Schools. Cleveland and Lincoln-Erdman Elementary Schools are all bus eligible.
Special Education Pupil Eligibility is based on physical, mental, emotional, and learning disabled attending special classes. Transportation will be provided if determined by assessment of a student's multi-disciplinary individual educational plan team. Students who attend an Exceptional Education Needs (EEN) Program at a school that is not his/her attendance area may receive transportation. Programs are located in schools around the school district where a room may be available.
The English Language Learners (EL) Program has center schools that provide services for identified students. Students in the EL program that live outside the center school boundaries may have bussing available.
If walking or waiting in the street, walk single file, please face traffic and stay as close to the edge of the road as possible. Be at the bus stop early.
Stay back at least 15 feet and wait for the bus to come to a complete stop.
Always cross at least 10 feet in front of the bus. Stop, look left, right, and left again if crossing a street.
Stay away from the bus if you drop or forget something. (The bus driver cannot see a person if they are too close to the front of the bus.) Never crawl under a school bus.
Avoid waiting in a house or car as the driver needs to see the child while driving down the street.
Face mask is required.
Do listen and obey the driver's instructions.
Sit down as soon as possible and remain seated while the bus is moving. Must remain in assigned seat.
Do not eat or drink or leave trash on the seats or floor.
Do not use offensive language, yell, fight, or roughhouse.
Do not put your hands or anything else out the window.

If your child leaves an item on the bus, please directly contact Prigge Bus Company at 920.459.2961. Please provide a description of what was left on the bus. The dispatcher will then check with the driver and advise if the item was found and how to reclaim it.
Only one pick-up point and one drop-off point per student is permitted. Pick-up and/or drop-off point may be a home or daycare within the school boundary. A bus stop location may be up to a half mile walking distance from home/daycare. In order to shorten the time on the bus, there may be more group stops or a further walk to/from stop location.
Please contact your school office for permanent address changes.
For all school bus riders, the parent/guardian is responsible for contacting Prigge's Bus Company in the event your child will not be riding the bus on any given day (due to illness, vacation, doctor appointment, etc.)

If your child does not ride the bus for three consecutive days, and you have not contacted the bus company during that time, transportation will be terminated. You will need to contact your child’s school secretary to reinstate transportation, which will go into effect a minimum of two (2) working days after you contact the secretary.
Parents are expected to provide other transportation to school for students suspended from the privilege of bus use due to misconduct.
