Academic and Career Planning, or ACP, is a student-driven, adult-supported process in which students create and cultivate their own unique and information-based visions for post-secondary success, obtained through self-exploration, career exploration, and the development of career management and planning skills. Each student is provided with individualized support, appropriate to the student’s needs from school district staff to assist with completing and annually updating an academic and career path.
All students and staff, grades 6-12 have access to and regularly use an ACP software tool called Xello. Parents can also view their child’s Xello portfolio to better support their development from home. Ask your child to share their portfolio with you. If you need information on how to access your child’s Xello account, please reach out to your child’s school counselor or principal. With the help of the school counselors, teachers, administration and the community and the use of Xello and INSPIRE Sheboygan County, students will navigate through the continual process of know, explore, plan, and GO.
